Lotus releases the lightest-ever road e-bike, the Type 136, weighing just 9.8kg.
The bike features an ultralight HPS motor and battery system, weighing 1,200g.
The design of the bike is inspired by the Lotus 108 and the Hope/Lotus collaboration.
The HPS Watt Assist Pro motor is compact and lightweight, providing 136 watts of assistance.
The battery is disguised as a water bottle and can be disconnected when not in use.
The launch edition of the bike is limited to 136 units, priced at £20,000.
The launch edition bikes are painted in classic Lotus racing livery and come with Campagnolo Super Record Wireless.
A standard edition of the bike will be released in early 2024, with prices ranging from £15,199 to £16,999.
The standard edition bikes will feature SRAM drivetrains.
